This is an exciting day. We are the closest we’ve been in decades to restoring hope and humanity to tens of thousands of people incarcerated in Arizona’s prison system and their families.

“…when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?”

Today, I will be advocating for fair and proportionate sentencing laws in Arizona at AFSC-AZ’s ReFraming Justice Day at the Capitol! I will be telling media, lawmakers, and all of my friends and family how #HB2270 will restore hope inside Arizona’s prisons and inspire change from within.

Passing #JustSentencingAZ will also save Arizona taxpayers potentially hundreds of millions of dollars, allowing those precious resources to be re-invested in education, vocational training, and drug treatment for all Arizonans.

Passing HB2270 will make our system fairer, more equitable, and is the right thing to do.
